Coastline Lanka Travels Pvt Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is a Colombo-based travel agency licensed by Sri Lanka Tourism, offering private driver services, tailor-made tours and airport transfers across Sri Lanka. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
02Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, or that is needed to plan and run your trip. This may include:
- Contact details — your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number and country of residence.
- Trip details — travel dates, number of travellers, destinations, budget, hotel preferences and any special requests.
- Booking details — flight information for airport pickups and, where needed, passport names for hotel or park bookings.
- Messages — anything you send us by WhatsApp, email, phone or social media.
- Basic website data — such as browser type and pages visited, collected automatically by our hosting and analytics tools.
Facebook & Instagram lead forms: if you submit an enquiry through a Meta (Facebook or Instagram) Instant Form, we receive the information you entered in that form — typically your name, email, phone number and trip interest. We use it only to respond to your enquiry.
03How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and send you an itinerary and price quote.
- To arrange and confirm your tour, driver, vehicle, hotels and activities.
- To contact you before and during your trip about pickups, changes or safety.
- To follow up after your trip, for example to ask for feedback.
- To send occasional travel offers — only if you have agreed, and you can opt out at any time.
- To meet legal, tax and tourism licensing requirements.
We never sell your personal information.
04Sharing your information
We share only what is necessary to deliver your trip, with:
- Our driver guides assigned to your tour.
- Hotels, safari operators and activity providers you have asked us to book.
- Service providers we use to communicate and operate, such as WhatsApp, email and website hosting.
- Authorities, where required by law.
Some of these providers may store data outside Sri Lanka. We only work with providers we trust to handle your information responsibly.
05How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become a booking are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. Booking records are kept for as long as required for accounting and legal purposes, typically up to 6 years.
06Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including limiting access to our team and trusted partners who need it. No method of online transmission is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
07Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- See the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your information, where we are not legally required to keep it.
- Stop sending you marketing messages.

08Cookies
Our website may use basic cookies and analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our advertising, including on Facebook and Instagram. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
