This animal is the biggest mammals in the sea. This animal lives around 80 to 90 years. And they are weight around 130000 to 150000 kg .its a massive animal. Blue whales eat krills_tiny ,shrimps .
Sperm Whale
Sperm whale is a pelagic mammal with a world wide range, and will migrate seasonally for feeding, breading. Females and young males live together in groups ,while mature males live solitary lives outside of the mating season. This animal lives around 25 to 45 years. And they big as 30000 to 40000 kg.
Best season to visit .while travelling in Sri Lanka there are 3 beautiful places to watch whales.
Mirissa
This is the most famous place to see whales. Located in southern part of Sri Lanka and 150 km from Colombo. Boats live around before 7am from Mirissa fort. There are many public boat services in Mirissa. December to April is the best time to visit their.
Kalpitiya
Kalpitiya is located in north west part of Sri Lanka an amazing location. And its around 165km away from Colombo. March is the best time here to see whales. In Kalpitiya also have many private and public boat services and travelers should arrange a boat a day in advance.
Trincomalee
Trincomalee is an unbelievable location for watch whales and dolphins and many more. This place is in eastern province of Sri Lanka and located in 260km from Colombo. There are many boat services from around this place. March to august is the best season to visit here
