Beaches with kids
Beach sides are very relax, calm and very comfortable for mind. The wind surrounding in the beaches are very friendly for young children, little kids, toddlers and babies. Sri lanka boasts some of the best beaches in the world and kids will love playing in the fine pristine sand and jumping in the turquoise water. There are some great surf spots for older kids. Mirissa and Arugambay are the best beaches for kids & Nilaveli and pasikuda also good for kids. Pigeon island national park off beautiful nilaveli beach, that island has great snorkelling that kids love.
As a rule of thumb the north and east-coat beaches are best from April to September. In this season these beaches have a lovely weather. Turtle hatcheries on the west coast are very popular and kids can release baby turtles into the ocean. And also you can see whales in the sea and defineatly your kids will be love it.
Hill country with kids
Hill country mean the activities in Nuwara eliya , Haputale & Ella. Here has a fresh climate and it will be comfortable for your kids. You can explore the tea plantations and jungle clad hills of the central hill country. The kids will love seeing the tea plantations and seeing all the big machinery in operation. And also in the hill country you can see rushing waterfalls and panoramic views. Visit hill country with kids is a very different experience of Sri Lanka. If you have young children you can visit to horton plains national park and you can see endamic plants, animals and mammals here. It will be a great experience for your children. If you intrested to go by train, Nuwara Eliya to Ella has a nice views with the nature and with climate in here you won’t be feel a tired with the train ride. Kids will love hanging out the doors of chugging trains! If you have young children you can climb the Adam’s peak in Ella & you can visit to nine arch bridge. Ella has a very tourist attraction views and you can walk with your kids with the beauty of the nature. And also if you have little babies or toddlers you can relax with them with this calm and beautiful environment and lovely weather. Nuwara eliya and Ella are very suitable for it.
Wildlife with kids
Udawalawe is one of the best national parks for wildlife-spotting safaries. Here you can see tigers, Elephants, peacocks, deers, many kinds of endamic birds and animals. Elephant transist home not far from Udawalawe. This is a well regarded half way house for injured and orphanaged elephants. You can feed the baby elephants and you can see elephants bathing. Your kids will be love it. Yala and minneriya national park also good for saffaries with children. Minneriya is a national park renowned for its herds of elephants. Saffari in Minneriya national park, you can see at least 90 elephants in a one sight seeing and your kids will love it. And also here you can see deers, butterflies, rabbits, peacocks & many more endamic animals. Wildlife sfaries in Udawalawe, Yala and Minneriya are best for kids and it will be a very joyful experience for your little kids and young children.
Visit ancient cities with kids
You can visit Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Kandy with your kids and young children can get a good knoledge about Sri Lankan history. In the Polonnaruwa and Anuradapura kids can run themselves silly at the vast and car-free ancient heritage sites with its very cool ruins. And also if you intrest can visit to Ruwanweliseya stupa, Mihintale, and many more temples with your kids and it will be a great experience for your children. And also you can see many more tanks in anuradhapura kingdom which are built in ancient time. In kandy you can visit Daladamaligawa, and peradeniya botanical garden with your kids and your kids will be love to see beautiful flowers and trees in here. And also you can show your kids sri lankan cultural dancing shows at kandy.
